Contour Dermatology is Committed to Your Safety

There is no higher priority for us than the health and safety of our patients, staff and their families. We are continuing to closely monitor the rapidly evolving developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic. With that being said, we wanted to let you know about the measures we are taking for your health and safety during this time. We feel that it is our duty to adhere to the established guidelines. As such, it is our intention to remain open with limited staff in order to take care of patients with their dermatologic needs.

What you should know prior to coming into your appointment:

  • Face masks are required during your visit and should be worn properly (to cover your mouth and nose) for the safety of our staff and other patients
  • You will be asked to reschedule if you have symptoms that such as: dry cough, sore throat, fever, or shortness of breath OR if you have had any recent close contact with someone diagnosed or exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
  • We are asking our patients to not bring guests to their visit, unless the patient is a minor or requires some type of caregiver.

What to expect during your visit:

  • You will be asked COVID-19 specific screening questions and be asked to sign an informed consent upon arrival.
  • Before being taken into an exam room our Medical Assistants will be taking your temperature to check for a fever of 100.4 or higher. If you do have a fever, we will ask that you reschedule.
  • Throughout your visit, you will notice that we are practicing social distancing in our common areas. We are also removing shared items such as magazines and other reading materials in our waiting and exam rooms.

Safety precautions we are taking with our staff:

  • Masks are required
  • Self-Monitoring/Screening stations at the beginning of each shift
  • Encouraging staff to stay home when not feeling well
  • Frequent disinfecting precautions throughout the day
  • Providing appropriate PPE’s such as masks, gloves, and protective eye gear
  • Staff education on how to minimize the spread of COIVD 19

It is imperative that we as a society heed the advice of the experts to control this virus. We feel that as a medical practice, we are doing everything we can to help limit the spread of the virus.

Thank you for choosing us for your dermatologic needs. We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you soon.
