Conveniently Using Technology to its Advantage
Also, for you snowbirds who need an appointment while they are away from the desert and want to maintain continuity of care with Contour, telemedicine provides the perfect opportunity to be seen by your established medical provider. Telemedicine also allows a patient to see their provider on a specific date based on their schedule and the provider’s Contour office rotation. For example, if you live in Palm Springs and want to be seen on a certain date that works for your schedule, but your provider happens to be in Loma Linda or La Quinta that day, it may be possible to have a telemedicine visit, depending on the nature of the visit.
What Can Be Seen Via Telemedicine?
Even though technology is so amazing these days that you can practically be beamed like Star Trek, there are things we cannot do via telemedicine. However, you might be surprised what can be accomplished. Sometimes just the option to be seen to confirm that something doesn’t warrant a more detailed follow-up appointment can provide reassurance by being seen online. And even the option to be seen to be told, yes, we need to schedule a follow-up biopsy can help fast-track something of concern. Each provider has their own list of things they will and won’t see via telemedicine. However, many rashes and skin conditions can be discussed and viewed view telemedicine within the standard of care.
Cosmetic Consultations Are Available Via Telemedicine
We also offer cosmetic consultations via telemedicine, giving you the privacy of your own home to take that first step in deciding if a procedure or treatment is right for you.
