Since we all have busy lives, you’ll be pleased to know that VI Peel Advanced is quick, easy to apply, and the procedure takes about 15 minutes. You will not experience any discomfort during the session while the solution effectively penetrates the damaged areas.
One of our medical providers will apply the topical solution to your cleansed face, hands, neck, or upper chest area for a few minutes, then wipe it off with water. This innovative peel will rapidly exfoliate your skin. You may experience a mild burning sensation at first that quickly subsides. You will not require topical anesthesia since the formula acts as an anesthetic.
VI Peel Advanced - What to Expect
Since this is a strong medium-strength peel, you will experience light to moderate peeling for a few days after the procedure and may observe some redness. You may feel slight discomfort and mild swelling during the first week after the treatment. The “new” skin may stay a little pink for a few weeks, so it is very important to avoid sun exposure as your skin will be especially sensitive. You can return to normal activities in about a week to 10 days with your skin sufficiently healed.
Moisturizer and sunscreen are very important following a peel, and our professional medical staff will review the post-treatment instructions with you. You will receive a kit filled with exclusive products, including five peel-extending towelettes, a cleanser, SPF sunscreen, and moisturizer to use a home. We recommend wearing a popular bucket-style hat and carrying a UV umbrella for extra protection.
