Rhinophyma Treatment
w/ Electrosurgical Removal + CO₂ Laser Finish
Rhinophyma is a condition where the skin on the nose becomes thickened, enlarged, and irregular over time. It’s most commonly associated with advanced rosacea and can significantly change the shape and texture of the nose.
In this procedure, Dr. Jochen first removes the excess tissue using an electrosurgical incision tool, which allows for precise sculpting and controlled removal of the thickened skin. After the bulk of the rhinophyma tissue is reduced, a fractional CO₂ laser is used to further refine the surface and improve the overall contour and texture of the nose.
This video shows the procedure as it was performed in the clinic. Some parts may be graphic since it involves real surgical treatment.
