Dr. Jessie Zhe Hou is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained, board-certified Mohs surgeon. She earned her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine and went on to complete training at several prestigious hospitals in New York City and California. Dr. Hou practices the full spectrum of dermatology, providing medical care for a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer, moles, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, ringworm, rashes, hair and nail disorders, among many others.
Dr. Jessie Zhe Hou has a long-standing passion for combating skin cancer. She specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, the most effective technique for removing skin cancers. Dr. Hou received advanced training in Mohs surgery and facial plastic reconstruction under world-renowned surgeons during her fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of California, Irvine. She places a strong emphasis on quality skin cancer screening and prevention, and she also performs a range of dermatologic surgical procedures to treat both benign and malignant skin conditions.
In addition to her medical training, Dr. Hou holds a Ph.D. in cancer research from Rutgers University of New Jersey. For many years, she has been dedicated to advancing cancer treatment research, including therapies for skin cancers. Her clinical and basic science research has resulted in over 30 publications, including first-author papers, reviews, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences. Her work has earned her several prestigious research awards and grants from respected institutions such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), La Roche-Posay Foundation, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
