Ingrown hairs are caused by several factors. In women, they are most common on legs, pubic area & under the arms. In men, most common on chin, cheeks and neck.
Hyperpigmentation occurs when melanocytes (cells that are found naturally in the skin) overproduce pigments known as melanin, resulting in darker tones than the surrounding skin.
