Get in the Holiday Spirit With Donations That Have a Healthy, Lasting Impact All Year!
Valley Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) is the only FREE HEALTHCARE CENTER providing healthcare to medically underserved Coachella Valley adult residents. VIM is a member of Volunteers in Medicine, a national nonprofit alliance with more than 90 free clinics across the U.S., whose mission is to provide healthcare services in a compassionate, caring way to our neighbors in need.

Those at VIM believe healthcare is a human right and are helping to make life a healthier place for the 1,000 Valley residents they care for each year and the more than 5,000 residents they have cared for since opening in 2010.
VIM provides a local solution to a national problem and currently offers free medical services to adults in the Coachella Valley with no insurance. As a community safety net, their Health Center treats the whole person by addressing chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and arthritis. They also treat acute conditions like colds and flu and offer preventive medicine, diet, and emotional health. In addition to direct patient care, they provide health education and wellness programs, case management, and community referrals for patients.
Patients are encouraged to schedule appointments with the Health Center instead of visiting local hospital emergency rooms to receive care for non-life-threatening conditions. A visit to the VIM will avoid costly out-of-pocket expenses for uninsured patients while providing them with high-quality, compassionate care.
The first uninsured, low-income patients entered VIM’s new Health Center doors in November 2010. The only no-cost healthcare center in the Coachella Valley, it took three years of planning to make the dream a reality. A dedicated and diligent group of healthcare and community volunteers, along with governmental leaders, championed the cause of helping neighbors in need have access to medical care at the local level.
