Introducing Dr. Srita Chakka
Contour Dermatology is thrilled to welcome board-certified dermatologist Dr. Srita Chakka, M.D. to our esteemed team of medical providers. With a wealth of experience and advanced training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Chakka is now accepting new patients. She brings a unique skill set in both skin care and aesthetic treatments, having trained at renowned institutions such as UC Riverside School of Medicine and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Chakka's Dermatology Specialties
Dr. Chakka specializes in all medical skin examinations, diagnoses, and treatments. She performs surgeries and cancer treatments, including certain types of cancer surgeries for melanoma and lipoma. She also specializes in cosmetic treatments with an eye for aesthetics when injecting fillers.
Her Interests
When Dr. Srita Chakka isn’t practicing dermatology, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their toddler daughter, and extended family members. She loves staying active with Tabata training and enjoys the challenge of trivia games. Dr. Chakka also has a passion for travel, exploring new cultures and scenic locations. Whether she’s wandering through a peaceful bamboo forest, enjoying coastal views, or soaking in the tranquility of nature, travel allows her to recharge and find inspiration. Her adventurous spirit and love for exploration are perfectly captured in her recent travels, where she combines relaxation with discovery. Additionally, she enjoys expanding her cooking repertoire, always looking to try new dishes from the places she visits.

Dr. Chakka's Background
Dr. Chakka was raised primarily in Orange County after immigrating from India with her parents at age six. Medicine is a family affair. Both of Dr. Chakka’s parents are practicing dentists in the Inland Empire, and her husband is a radiologist. Growing up, she sensed some expectation that she would enter the medical field, but her parents gave her the freedom to explore her interests. She did that as an undergrad but soon realized she wanted to pursue a medical career and ultimately specialize. “Dermatology is really where I feel most comfortable with my own skills.”
As an undergrad and then a medical student, Dr. Chakka covered a lot of territory. She studied at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, then enrolled at the UC Riverside School of Medicine. She later completed residencies at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
“I wanted to do my training outside of California because deep in my heart, I knew I would always come back. California is my home.” Always enthusiastic about traveling around the U.S., Dr. Chakka eagerly fulfilled dermatology rotations as a resident doctor in states as diverse as Minnesota, Rhode Island and Texas.
