Scars form as part of the body’s natural response to healing following damage to the skin. Almost all trauma to the skin results in some degree of scarring.
The first step is to get the acne under control. For moderate to severe acne, I typically recommend Accutane. It’s a proven therapy and only requires a short course, but has long-lasting results.
